At age 54, a toothbrush hawker, Kwame Samuel still perched with his sister who is a poor street evangelist.

The father of three had been struggling in life selling toothbrushes and pastes at Kasoa.

He had been praying for a financial miracle but he never believed it was going to be possible considering his age.

Crime Check Foundation (CCF) has for a week been looking for a genuinely struggling individual to help change his life.

Luck however met Samuel when CCF encountered him on a hot Thursday afternoon at the Kasoa market while he was plying his trade.

This was on the fourth day of the Foundation’s life-changing mission.

On that fateful day, sales had not been positive for him as usual.

God however answered his prayers through a UK-based donor, Sean Frimpong AKA Zoro King.

 Zoro King blessed Kwame Samuel with Ten Thousand Ghana cedis.

Samuel who had lived on hand to mouth basis collapsed upon seeing the cash.

According to him, his wife passed on four years ago. Due to difficulties in the village, he had to run to the city to join the hustle and bustle for a better life.

He said he left his children behind in the village but he has been struggling to send them money.

“Sometimes, I do not sell any item and I become very sad during such days,” Samuel told crimecheckghana.org.

The poor man could not believe he was gifted such an amount after 54 years.

“I have prayed for a long time. What can I say? Thank you, Lord,” he said.

The gesture was part of Crime Check Foundation’s Street Charity Series. Through the CCF series, CCF has supported the businesses of many hawkers.
