THE ABADU FAMILY RECEIVES DONATION FROM CCF

Crime Check Foundation CCF has shown kind gesture to the Abadu family after the demise of their 13year old son Kwadwo Abadu.

Abadu who hails from Jukwa in the Central Region was suffering from cancer but was not able to receive appropriate treatment because of financial difficulties.

Alex Abadu, father of the deceased, said he could not afford accommodation in Accra so they sleep on the streets of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital whiles waiting for doctor’s appointment. “Kwadwo began treatment at the Cape Coast Regional Hospital where he was diagnosed of cancer. But he was later referred to the Korle-Bu Hospital for further medical care. I could not meet the expense of transportation and accommodation so we had to sleep on the street and wait for doctor’s appointment”. He told crimecheckghana.

Unfortunately, Kwadwo Abadu was reported dead after CCF came to his aid. The bereaved father said the child suffered seizure of breath.

The Foundation after supporting the family through the burial of the deceased has paid a visit to the family at Jukwa, to further commiserate with them.

Father of the deceased, Alex Abadu said, life has become difficult for the family after the death of his son. “I spent all my savings on my son’s illness and even borrowed money from people to make sure my son gets better. Now, his siblings have to drop out of school because of financial difficulties”.

The pale looking man says his rent is due and he has no hope of paying it. “I have not been working since I came back to Jukwa because my working machine is spoilt. I have nothing and no one to depend on”. He told crimecheckghana.

Some of the donors of the Foundation, Dorothy and Sam, Deborah Gyamfuwaa in the U.K and Joseph have presented two thousand, two hundred and sixty three cedis to the Abadu Family.

Alex thanked CCF and its donors for their massive support to the family. “God bless them and give them long life and prosperity”.
