Testimonies mark CCF’s 2024 Xmas party for the underprivileged

There was an outpouring of testimonies during the 2024 Crime Check Foundation (CCF) annual Christmas party for the underprivileged.

Widows, orphans, and the sick were among hundreds of beneficiaries who took turns to share their testaments of the joy CCF, through its donors has brought to them.

The event, which was meant to share Christmas gifts to the beneficiaries, saw outbursts of gratitude to the Foundation and its donors for the change they have brought into their lives through its various support schemes.

“I was hawking sachet water in traffic for 15 years when I came to Accra. I did not know anybody for all those years until recently when I met CCF. Since my encounter with the Foundation, my life has improved drastically. If I had met them earlier when I came to the city, I would have been doing better in life, probably, owning a shop. I am excited and grateful to the organization and its donors,” a widow shared.

According to another beneficiary, ‘Mr. Kwarteng met me in traffic hawking foodstuffs, bought some of it, and gifted me some cash. Later, he took my contact details and since then my life has not been the same. I have some relief now.’

Crime Check Foundation through its projects; the General Charity, Village Charity series offers livelihood support for persons of poor background to be able to escape the harsh conditions of the economic weather in Ghana.

Aside from these projects, the Educational and Health Check projects have helped foot the bills of poor patients and funded the educational pursuits of brilliant but needy students.

The Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation (CCF), Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng admonished beneficiaries to continue to develop grateful attitudes in every situation and not entertain despondency to keep their hopes high despite their poor conditions.

“For the little you get, you have to be grateful no matter the amount. No situation is permanent and your situation may be better than someone’s, so count your blessings more than your losses,” he advised.

Mr. Kwarteng said CCF would continue to draw livelihood programmes that will continue to provide relief for the poor.

Ninety bags of 5 kilos of rice with bottles of cooking oil were given to attendees and fifty pieces of cloth were distributed to widows at the event.
