Stop mismanaging donations given to you – beneficiaries advised

The Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation (CCF), Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng has advised beneficiaries of donations to make judicious use of what comes to them.

The philanthropist bemoaned how some beneficiaries are unable to invest the money gifts given them and return for more without anything to show for the previous support they received.

“It is painful that you support somebody and the person uses the money for another thing instead of the intended purpose,” he said.

Mr. Kwarteng said this during CCF’s yearly end-of-year party dubbed, ‘CCF XMAS PARTY’.

Citing some examples of wastage by beneficiaries, Mr. Kwarteng cautioned them against spending donated gifts on expensive foods and clothing but rather focus on their businesses and the wellbeing of their children to help them improve their lives.

“We paid the school fees for the child of a beneficiary for three years in advance and the parent of the ward went to the school to collect two years of the fees. Such an action indicates the person does not mean well for the ward and is not ready to improve her life,” he lamented.

“Some people are prepared to make their lives better so they do not misuse the support they are given. We supported another lady and she invested it in the sale of diapers. She is doing well with her business so we will continue to support her. This is what we want. If we realize you can make good use of what we give you we will further support you.

Mr. Kwarteng said the organization would continue with its mandate to alleviate the suffering of struggling individuals.

CCF spent over a Hundred Thousand Ghana cedis to give out bags of rice, bottles of cooking oil, and cash gifts to the needy as it climaxed its yearly activities.
