MBCF screens Maamobi residents for breast cancer

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) has offered free breast screening for the people of Maamobi in Accra.

Predominantly, a Muslim community, it was exciting when over a hundred women underwent the screening exercise which was preceded by education on breast cancer.

MBCF nurses found 5 persons with abnormal breast discharges and referred them for further investigations.

The breast screening exercise was undertaken during an all-inclusive health screening programme for the community.

The Foundation is leading the way to drumming home early detection as it features its breast cancer screening exercises in health screening campaigns.

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation will bear the cost of the treatment of the women whose discharges are confirmed to be cancer-induced.

MBCF continues to pursue its awareness creation and the promotion of early detection with its suffocated resources.

It seeks support from the general public to contribute to its initiative to save women.
