MBCF screens breasts of Accra Digital centre staff; 17 cases victims identified
Seventeen more women have been identified with suspected breast cancer lumps as Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) visited the Accra Digital Centre.
Some thirty-six women from various companies operating at the Digital Centre converged at the offices of Innovare Company Limited to undergo breast screening exercises.
Education on breast cancer preceded the screening.
The event forms part of MBCF’s year-round sensitization and screening for breast cancer.
The seventeen identified victims will be supported by the foundation to seek further diagnosis at nearby health facilities.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation was formed a year ago to wage war against the disease and give support to victims.
MBCF has extended its exercise to communities, corporate organizations, schools, and religious institutions.
Victims have been placed on the Foundation’s ‘payroll’ to enable them to access unfettered proper healthcare.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation was established on the vision of Amina Oppong Kwarteng, the late wife of the Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation (CCF).
Unfortunately, breast cancer stole her life after battling the disease.
