Crime Check Foundation donates to Prisons SHS Reformation School

Crime Check Foundation (CCF) has gone to the aid of some final year students of the Prisons SHS Reformation School at the Kumasi Central Prison.

The Executive Director of CCF and Ambassador Extraordinaire of Ghana Prisons, Mr. Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng on a visit to the school presented an amount of Four Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty-Four Ghana cedis as registration fees for the students to enable them sit for their remedial examination.

According to Mr. Kwarteng, the money also included an allocation for the purchase of mathematical calculators for the students for a smooth examination.

The Ambassador Extraordinaire encouraged them to be hopeful despite the deplorable condition in which they find themselves in whiles admonishing them to heed to the advice of their teachers.

“You are in a difficult situation but you should have it in mind that you are here to add on to the knowledge you have. We have given your headmaster money for your registration fees so you don’t have to worry.” He said.

Mr. Kwarteng urged them to call upon the Foundation if they need any learning materials.

“Talk to your headmaster if you need anything to enhance your studies. I assure you, we will hurriedly come to your aid.” He said.

The Headmaster of the prison school, ASP Elvis Mensah thanked the donors through whose donation CCF had reached out to the students.

“We thanked CCF and its donors for coming to our aid. We had to fall on them for support at this critical moment when we did not know where to turn to.” He acknowledged.

The beneficiary students were grateful to CCF for the gesture.

The Educational Support Programme

CCF has been paying the fees of needy students and has also supported many schools and communities with educational materials.

The Foundation is appealing to the general public to contribute to the programme to reach out to many others.
