Breast cancer scare: Tech company, Innovare staff screened

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) has screened the breasts of tech organization, Innovare Africa’s staff as scare of breast cancer increases.

The company, located at the Accra Digital Centre had its staff and the general public benefit from the initiative e as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

MBCF has been undertaking sensitization and screening services all year round.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Innovare, Nana Aba the tech company organized the screening event due to the scare of rising cases of the dreaded disease.

“We chose to sensitize our staff and the public on breast cancer because of the rising deaths related to the disease among women and men in the country,” she told MBCF.

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation shared its findings from its outreaches in schools and communities with participants. This gave the participants a sense of urgency to get their breasts screened.

A total of two hundred and eighty-five availed themselves for screening with two suspected cases.

The exercise is the second MBCF has held for the company.
