Breast cancer: 3 Accra High School students identified; MBCF goes to their aid

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) sustains its fight against breast cancer in schools.

The latest, the Accra High Senior School had five students falling victim to the disease.

Young people are becoming more susceptible to the ailment and urgent attention is needed to stem the rising cases as soon as possible.

Out of 105 of the school’s population screened, five had various symptoms raising suspicions of the high risk of getting the disease.

MBCF nurses have referred the victims for advanced diagnosis at health facilities.

The students were also cautioned on the risk factors, symptoms, and some possible preventive measures during its sensitization.

The Foundation is bent on deepening education on the disease and supporting patients.
