Breast cancer: 126 screened; no case recorded at Christian Heritage Senior High
At the Christian Heritage Senior High School in the Eastern Region, none of the one hundred and twenty-six students who underwent a breast screening programme was suspected of having cancer lumps in their breasts.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) organized the screening exercise after educating the school populace on the disease.
The students were encouraged to live healthy lives to avoid contracting the disease.
MBCF was in the Eastern Region for three days to sensitize and screen the breasts of students of Senior High Schools in the region. It was a call to duty.
The Foundation’s team had toured the St. Paul’s and the Wilhelmina Bishop Memorial Senior High Schools.
The schools also had their share of the sensitization and breast screening exercises.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation continues to fight the disease all year round.
MBCF also supports affected students who are confirmed to have contracted the disease.
