Awutu Camp prison inmates get early Christmas feast
The Awutu Camp Prison inmates have been thrown to a feast for Christmas.
Christmas came early for the inmates when Crime Check Foundation feted them to delicious meals in the prison facility.
The inmates were treated to a buffet of various meals including assorted rice dishes, fufu, and banku alongside some fizzy drinks at the cost of almost Ghc 7,000.
Officers of the Awutu Camp Prison were not left out of the celebration when they also took turns dining with the inmates.
The meals are foods the inmates have tasted for years since their imprisonment. CCF, with support from a donor, made the event possible as part of the organization’s aims of seeing to the wellbeing of prison inmates.
Inmates continued to be fed with Ghc 1.80 of terrible food which according to the Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation is against the human rights.
