Atsu’s wife to be in Ghana on March 4 to observe player’s one-week celebration
According to Ghanaian traditional customs, it is believed that Clarie Rupio, the deceased Ghanaian international player Christian Atsu Twasam’s wife, should be in the country to grieve alongside the family.
The wife of Atsu—in this case, the widow—must stop whatever she is or may be doing and come to Ghana to console the family on the player’s passing. But she has not yet done so.
Atsu was trapped under the wreckage of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake.
The tragic incident which happened on Monday, February 6, 2023, took the lives of more than 46, 000 people.
Although Clarie Rupio, spoke for the first time after her husband’s body was recovered from the debris, her physical presence with the kids would be very appreciated.
It is impossible to determine why Ms. Rupio failed to appear in Ghana.
This has got many Ghanaians talking but she might not be here until Atsu’s family establishes a connection with her and impart to her the customs of the region because her culture and Ghana’s are different.
But, according to checks, the wife and her kids may arrive on March 4 at the scheduled one-week of Christian Atsu.
This is because preparations are underway.
He was found lifeless on the twelfth day after the incident on Monday, February 6, 2023.
His mortal remains arrived in Ghana on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
It was received by the family and a government delegation led by Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia in a brief ceremony.
Tributes since the announcement of his death have been pouring in from all walks of life in solidarity with his family.
