Establishment of Christian Atsu Memorial Foundation on course – Atsupui

A year, after the demise of the late ex-Black Stars player, Christian Atsu, a charity organization is being established in honour of his memory.

According to Christiana Atsupui, the twin sister of the late player, Christian Atsu Memorial Foundation will be established to continue his charity works.

“Christian Atsu Memorial Foundation is in the pipeline. It has already been registered so the public should watch out for it soon,” Atsupui said.

Atsu, before his demise, he was the lead sponsor of Crime Check Foundation’s (CCF) Petty Offenders and Ex-Convict Re-integration projects through which the former famed footballer paid the fines of hundreds of minor offenders and supported ex-convicts to properly re-integrate into society.

Christian Atsu died in Turkey trapped under the wreckage of a massive earthquake last year February.

His death broke the hearts of Ghanaians and the philanthropic community.

Announcing the establishment of the Foundation, Atsupui raised the hopes of beneficiaries promising to continue the charity works of his late brother.

“I want to tell prisoners and those who received support from my late brother I have not neglected you. You will hear from me soon,” she said.

Christiana Atsupui returned from the UK where she works as a nurse to observe the 1st anniversary of her late twin brother.

Crime Check Foundation has also pledged to keep alive the legacy of Christian Atsu by adopting the late footballer’s supported orphanage.
