CCF supports JHS graduate to enter SHS
Theophilus Adu, a Junior High School graduate whose mother washes clothes for her livelihood has received Crime Check Foundation’s (CCF) support to continue his education.
Theophilus has gained admission to the Ofoase Senior High School in the Ashanti Region but has no hope of continuing due to financial difficulties.
His mother, Gloria Adu said her job could not wring much income for her to cater for her family so she added clothes washing to provide her additional means of survival.
“ I started washing for money a year ago because I could not pay for further expenses of my children,” she said.
Funding Theophilus’s Senior High School education proved difficult for her hence approaching CCF for assistance.
Madam Adu’s request was granted with the support of One Thousand Two Hundred Ghana cedis for Theophilus.
The Foundation gave her help with the contribution of Virtuous Wives Club, a US-based group.
Despite the Free Education initiative, it is reported that some 137,000 JHS graduates have not reported to the various SHS where they got admission due to financial constraints.
