Breast cancer: 22 students of Adonten SHS identified with strange lumps

The discovery of strange lumps in the breasts of 22 students of the Adonten Senior High School in the Eastern Region has sparked bewilderment in the school about their lifestyles.

More worrying is that the affected students identified during a Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) led campaign in the school are adolescents.

A team from MBCF visited the school as part of its fight against breast cancer to sensitize and screen the breasts of the institution’s population on the disease.

The nurses of MBCF, after screening hundreds of the school’s public, indicated that the strange lumps found could be suspected cancer lumps.

They therefore entreated the affected individuals to seek further medical investigations into their cases to ascertain their fate.

Meena Breast Cancer Foundation found keen interest in seeing to it that affected persons get support for treatment.

The Foundation pays treatment bills of patients. Currently, hundreds of patients are on its ‘pay-roll’.
