19-yr-old jailed 4 months for stealing iPhone 14

A 19-year-old POP fixing expert has been jailed for stealing an iPhone 14 pro max for his baby mama.

Henry Frimpong pleaded guilty to stealing when he appeared before court and was sentenced to four months with hard labour at the Kumasi Central Prison in the Ashanti Region.

He was jailed for failing to pay a court fine of Ghc 1,500.

The young man told crimecheckghana.org that he needed money for his baby mama to take care of their sick child.

“Unfortunately I was arrested so I couldn’t get the money for my baby”.

This according to Henry was when he had gone to sell the stolen device and was returning with the money.

“I brought my girlfriend to Kumasi and I did not have money to take care of my child when she fell ill so I needed some fast cash to sort things out,” he narrated.

While in prison, his only problem was the likelihood of losing his girlfriend to another man.

With a show of remorse and seeming regret, Crime Check Foundation (CCF) paid for his freedom. He is now a free man to prove his worth again.
